Q. Why should I use xpertfind.com to find new customers?
A. xpertfind.com makes it quick and easy for trade professionals to connect with new customers looking for good local tradesmen. We'll let you know of genuine jobs in your area that match your skills and requirements and you choose which of these jobs you would like to quote for. There are no upfront costs, you choose the work you want, when you want it and we help you build your business even more by asking customers for feedback. Think of us as a marketplace - for customers who want to find good professionals who, in turn, want genuine local jobs to work on.
You can make big savings in your marketing budget as you don't need to advertise all-year-round. You can buy as many or as few leads as you wish. There are no commission fees to pay for any jobs you carry out. And there are no strings attached - you can be a member of the site for as long as you wish with no contract.
Q. How do I register with xpertfind.com?
A. It's free to register on xpertfind.com. All you have to do is enter some basic information such as your trade, what you specialise in, how far you want to travel for work and how you want to pay for job alerts and leads.
Q. Is there a membership fee or a contract?
A. Unlike many of our competitors who charge up to £160 every year just for membership, there is NO membership fee for trade professionals registering on the site and no contract. We do not believe in exorbitant fees and fat commissions. Our mission is to bring quality tradesmen in contact with genuine customers in their local area.
Q. How does registering help me find new customers?
A. Once you've completed the registration you'll start receiving job details. We email and/or text you as soon as a customer posts a validated job on the site that matches your specified criteria. As the matching is done instantly this ensures that any job details you receive are up-to-date.
Q. How much do job alerts cost?
A. All email and text job alerts will be free for any month in which you purchase 2 job leads. In any month you do not purchase 2 job leads you will be charged a token fee of 50p (&VAT) per job alert. Even if you receive both a text and email alert for a job you will only be charged 50p (&VAT) for each job alert.
Q. How many leads will I receive?
A. In short, as many as your job skills and travel appetite allow you to. It's difficult to predict and will depend on your trade and the area that you work in, but our nationwide coverage means that you stand a high likelihood of having more leads than you can cater for. Obviously, the greater the distance you are willing to travel for work, the more jobs we will be able to match to you.
Q. How do I get more customer leads?
A. If you widen the distance you are willing to travel for work this will increase how many customer leads we send you. Your secure area, which you can access after you've registered, will tell you how many more jobs you could be quoting for if you extended your travel distance.
Q. How many tradesmen can buy leads for a job?
A. Only three tradesmen will have the chance to buy the lead so it is important that you respond quickly if you are interested in buying a lead as it is on a "first come first served" basis.
Q. How do I quote for jobs?
A. If you're interested in quoting for any of the jobs we have sent you, you can choose to buy the job lead either by replying directly to the text, quoting the lead number, or through the "Leads awaiting decision" page in your secure area on the website. It is very important that you respond quickly if you are interested in the job. You will only be able to buy the lead if you are one of the first three tradesmen to express an interest in the work.
Q. What happens after I have bought the lead?
A. We will send you via email the full details provided by the customer, including their contact details. You can also find these details in your secure area under Your Purchased Leads. We would advise you to contact the customer as soon as you receive their details to discuss the job and agree how you would like to proceed.
Q. Are customers given my contact details?
A. Yes. When you buy any lead, we send an email to the customer informing them you are interested in their job and that you will soon be in contact.
Q. How much do job leads cost?
A. If you are interested in a job and decide to buy the job lead there is a low price per lead starting at just £5 (one credit). The exact lead price is set by the customer's estimated value of the job. There are only three job lead prices with no additional hidden charges:
- £5 (one credit) for jobs under £250
- £10 (two credits) for jobs between £250-£1,000
- £15 (three credits) for jobs over £1,000
All of these prices exclude VAT.
Q. How do I pay?
A. To buy leads you have two options: you can use pre-purchased credits or pay-as-you go.
Pre-purchased credits cost just £5 (+VAT) each and buying credits upfront like this ensures that you are always ready to buy the lead you want. As an appreciation of your loyalty to our service, for every ten credits you buy online, we will give you one credit for free. What's more, you don't have to buy all ten credits in one go. You get your first free credit when you have bought ten credits, your second for free when you have bought 20 credits and so on. Remember, that one credit could get you a free lead.
You can use credits to buy any leads you are interested in:
- One credit (£5) for jobs under £250
- Two credits (£10) for jobs between £250 and £1,000
- Three credits (£15) for jobs over £1,000
If you prefer, you can pay-as-you-go. You pay for leads as and when you are interested in a job. The cost of each lead will be clearly shown in the job details.
When you register with xpertfind.com you'll be asked for your payment card details. These will be stored on a secure server and any future job leads bought by you will either use existing credits you have bought, or use the stored card details automatically. If you don't have card details registered for payment, you will not be able to purchase the customer lead via text. You can look at invoices for all your transactions from your secure area on our site too.
You will not be charged for any lead until the job details have been released to you. This helps to avoid the rare situation where a customer may choose to cancel a job between them registering the job and up to three tradesmen buying the lead.
Q. What types of credit cards do you accept?
A. We accept VISA, MasterCard, & VISA Debit.
Q. How does feedback work?
A. In order to help our registered tradespeople, we'll ask all customers for feedback at two points in the process:
Firstly, when the customer lets us know which tradesperson they have chosen, we'll ask them the reason for their choice. We will share this feedback with the tradespeople who have not been awarded the work. We hope this will help you in the future when quoting for work.
Secondly, once the job has been completed, we'll ask customers for feedback on the job and tradesperson. Receiving quality feedback from your customers is very important in gaining the trust of future customers. Better feedback increases your chance of winning new jobs. Customers will be asked to provide ratings on key areas such as quality of job and value-for-money, alongside more general feedback. Once you complete a job, remind your customer to rate you - they can do this by logging into their secure area.
Q. What if a customer doesn't provide feedback on me?
A. You can see all your recently received feedback and ratings in your secure area. While we send friendly reminders to your customers to provide feedback, your personal request via email will be even more powerful than our request.
Q. How do I claim a refund or cancel my membership?
A. You can cancel your membership at any time. If you have any remaining unused credits, we will refund the value of those credits you paid for, not including the free credits you were awarded. Any remaining unpaid balance from either job leads or alerts will be charged against your credit card on record. Refunds on job leads already bought will be at the sole discretion of xpertfind, but if we find a payment has been taken in error we will refund the amount immediately. Q. How safe is my personal data?
A. We hold the information you give us in a database, with appropriate safeguards using the latest technology to ensure the highest levels of security. We further encrypt all passwords and any other sensitive information.
